West Chester Openings

June 20th, 2007

A few new(ish) restaurants in WC worth mentioning:

  • Butterfish, a new-American, fish-focused BYOB (and gourmet take-away) on West Nields Street, opened a few months ago.
  • Mexican restaurant El Portal (BYOB) is now open on the Iron Hill block of Gay St.
  • Tami’s Express Lunch and Bakery is opening soon where that Hawaiian-themed lunch spot used to be on Gay St.

  1. Ed Kesler Says:

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch at Butterfish-nice surroundings–easy parking–excellent food– good service. If you actually like the flavor of a great chile that doesn’t require being covered up by loads of pepper try it. Excellent smoked trout sandwich (TLT) as well as the more traditional BLT wich excellent bacon.
